Pumpkins, Pumpkins!

This year we had a lot of fun learning about pumpkins!  I found a lot of cute ideas on pinterest such as voting on how we would like to carve it, our investigation chart, and our seed testing chart.  Check out my board  if you would like to see where I found some of these cute ideas!
We started off making our schema chart.

It's so neat to see how much the students learn about pumpkins during this unit!  This year the students would not believe it when we read that a pumpkin grows from a flower!  It was like I was lying to them!  :-)  That made our field trip even more special!  Check out some of the things we did below in our pumpkin unit. There are also pictures from our trip to the pumpkin patch.  We had a perfect day!  Enjoy!
