Word Families Freebie!

I'm doing a lot more in our classroom with word families now.  I'm using Hubbard's Cupboard's printable word family books and worksheets as well as some search and graph worksheets from the Moffatt Girls.  I'm still on the hunt for more activities for the students to do in class and also during our word work time in Daily 5.  I also found a great write, read, and draw worksheet here, but unfortunately they are a little to hard for my kindergarteners.  We may get to them later in the year.  So I made my own using 12 word families and a nonsense part as well since that is something our first grade teachers are trying to improve.  Students are also asked to read the words to a friend and have them sign on the line.  So far the kids love it!  I was a little worried about some of the drawings, but they are so creative!  Some of the word families I used are -ug, -am, -it, -op, and lots more!!  Check it out by clicking the image below!
