Character Education

We have been focusing a lot of teaching positive character here at Plattin over the past few years. We are working hard to become a recognized School of Character. One exciting accomplishment we had was our caring corner which won a Promising Practice award. Mr. Marshall will be teaching your children more about this in the future. It is a great tool for helping your child solve conflicts. Check out our award here.

In our classroom this year we have talked about being peacemakers and peacebreakers. We read the book, No, David! and talked about how David was a peacebreaker. We created lists of what each type looks like and also signed a pledge to be a peace maker. Students also drew pictures showing how they can be peacemakers. We will continue to work more on this throughout the year.
