I'm so thrilled with my new kiddos this year! They are so excited to learn! We have had a great first week and a half and are getting in the swing of things! Check out my classroom pictures. (Don't forget to admire the NEW carpet!!)
Today we did one of my favorite writing activities to teach labeling. We labeled one of our students! The students always LOVE this and get such a kick out of it!
We also learned about adding details to our writing and illustrations. I had a sweet little girl say to me, "Mrs. Shininger, I've been detailing!" And she had! Love it! Our new Lucy Calkins writing series is going to be fantastic this year. I can't wait to see how the students are writing in a few months!
